Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Memory Block CL Limited, trading as MemoryBlock Ireland ("we", "us", "our", "the Site"), collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit memoryblock.ie or make a purchase from us, whether online or in one of our stores.
WHO WE ARE
MemoryBlock Ireland is operated by Memory Block CL Limited, registered in Ireland at Unit 3, Dargle Centre, Castle Street, Bray, Co. Wicklow, A98 A061.
For any privacy query, contact us at info@memoryblock.ie.
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Device information: browser type, IP address, time zone, cookie data, pages and products viewed, search terms, and general interaction with the Site. This loads the Site correctly for you and helps us understand how it's used, so we can improve it. It's collected automatically through cookies, log files, and similar tracking technology, and shared with our platform provider Shopify and trusted analytics and advertising partners.
Order information: name, billing and shipping address, payment details, email address, and phone number. This is collected directly from you at checkout or in-store, to fulfil your order, process payment, arrange delivery, provide confirmations and invoices, communicate with you, and screen for fraud. It's shared with Shopify and service providers supporting fulfilment, payment processing, fraud prevention, and customer service.
MINORS
Under Irish data protection law (Section 31 of the Data Protection Act 2018), the digital age of consent is 16. If you are under 16, you may only use the Site and provide personal information with the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without such consent. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information without the required consent, contact us at info@memoryblock.ie and we will delete it.
HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We share personal information with service providers who help us run our business, including Shopify (our ecommerce platform), Google Analytics/GA4 (to understand how customers use the Site), Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ads (for advertising and measurement), Omnisend (our email platform, for order updates and, where you've opted in, marketing), and Judge.me (to manage customer reviews). We may also disclose information where required to comply with the law, respond to a lawful request, or protect our legal rights.
BEHAVIOURAL ADVERTISING
We use your information to show you advertising we believe may be relevant, based on your browsing and purchase activity, shared with our advertising partners directly or via cookies. Learn more at the Network Advertising Initiative: networkadvertising.org.
LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING (GDPR)
As an Irish business processing data of EU residents, we rely on your consent, performance of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and our legitimate interests, where these don't override your rights and freedoms.
RETENTION
We retain your personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or until you ask us to erase it, subject to our legal obligations, for example tax and accounting records.
YOUR RIGHTS
As a resident of the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, or erase the personal information we hold about you, request a portable copy of it, and restrict or object to certain processing. You can lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) at dataprotection.ie if you believe your rights have been infringed. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@memoryblock.ie.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Your personal information is initially processed in Ireland. Some service providers, including Shopify, may process data outside the EEA, including in Canada and the United States, under appropriate safeguards. See Shopify's GDPR Whitepaper: help.shopify.com.
COOKIES
We use cookies to run the Site and understand how it's used. Most are persistent and expire between 30 minutes and two years after being set. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect how well the Site works for you. We do not alter our data practices in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as there is no consistent industry standard for how to interpret them.
